An international law firm are seeking a skilled and experienced In-House Contract Lawyer to play a key role in delivering procurement services across the firm.

The role will be in either the Leeds or Manchester office on a flexible basis.
Collaborating closely with the Procurement team and business stakeholders, you will oversee the review, drafting, and negotiation of a broad spectrum of commercial supplier agreements, guiding them from initiation to completion.
You will also provide strategic advice on related contractual matters, ensuring compliance and managing associated risks.
This role involves regular interaction with the Office of the General Counsel, Information Security team, business stakeholders, and senior management.
As an In-House Contract Lawyer, you will: Draft, Review, and Negotiate: Oversee a variety of commercial supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Risk Management: Work with the Office of the General Counsel and Information Security teams to conduct due diligence and mitigate risks in supplier relationships.
Stakeholder Support: Provide clear and actionable advice on commercial and legal aspects of contracts, often to senior-level stakeholders, while identifying and addressing risks.
Process Improvement: Support ongoing enhancements to the Procurement team's service delivery, innovation initiatives, and compliance efforts.
Monitoring regulatory changes and updating supplier agreements accordingly.
Training the Procurement team on relevant legislative updates.
Developing and maintaining contract templates and ensuring accurate record-keeping in the firm's contract database.
Supporting stakeholders to improve service levels and implement smarter, more efficient procurement processes.
Experience and Expertise A qualified solicitor with at least 1 year of post-qualification experience (or equivalent in-house experience) in commercial contracts Proficient in drafting, negotiating, and advising on a range of commercial agreements.
